Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist

Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Calgary and area, Alberta

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school, some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Experience: 1 - 2 years

Languages: Speak English, read English, write English

Machine Tools and Machines: CNC machines, sawing machines

Specific Skills: Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, set up and adjust production machinery, verify dimension of machined tools and parts, maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments

Essential Skills: Numeracy, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, computer use, continuous learning

Work Setting Experience: Plastic products manufacturing company

Other: Busy plastics manufacturing company seeks experienced CNC operator for 5-axis CNC. Candidate must have experience using Alpha Cam and/or Master Cam. Wood working/carpentry background an asset. CNC design experience an asset. Own vehicle required. Qualified candidates need only apply.
